TIAC is pleased to announce the 2026 Contractor Excellence Awards, a recognition program celebrating the outstanding craftsmanship, professionalism, and technical expertise of TIAC’s contractor members. This award provides an opportunity to showcase the high-quality work being completed across our industry and to recognize contractors that demonstrate exceptional performance, skill, and commitment to excellence.
“The operating efficiency and aesthetic appeal of mechanical systems have always been key aspects of our industry, and insulators have always taken pride in their quality of work,” says Tristan Bertram, TIAC’s Director of Industry Affairs. “That’s why the Pursuit of Excellence is one of TIAC’s core values. Our team recognized the significance of pursuing excellence in our industry and saw an opportunity to highlight this core value and our contractors’ incredible work.”
The Contractor Excellence Awards will spotlight the outstanding contributions of TIAC contractor members with the aim of inspiring others to strive for excellence, and they will reinforce TIAC’s position as a leading advocate for excellence in thermal insulation practices.
“We hope to see various projects entered, particularly those that were challenging or unique and required a high degree of skill to complete,” Bertram says. “We are looking for projects that truly showcase the excellence of our contractor members, ones that make our conference attendees stop and say, ‘Wow!’ If your company wins, you will earn some well-deserved bragging rights—make your submission count!”

How to Submit:
Submitting your project for consideration is easy. Access the online submission form and enter your project details and supporting materials HERE.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a current TIAC member in good standing.
- The project must have been completed within the last two (2) years.
- The project must be located in Canada.
- At least one representative from the contractor’s company must attend TIAC’s 64th Annual Conference in Quebec City (August 19–22, 2026) to receive the award.
Award & Benefits:
The winning project will receive:
- A featured article in Fall 2026 edition of the TIAC Times, highlighting the contractor and their project
- A TIAC Contractor Excellence Award Recipient badge for use on company websites, marketing materials, and email signatures
- Recognition at the TIAC Annual Conference
